Everything you need to know before booking an appointment
How many sessions will I need to attend?
There will be a variation in the number of sessions depending on the individual problem and the severity of the symptoms. The physiotherapist will be able to provide further guidance following the initial assessment.
First visit: what should I expect?
Your physiotherapist will conduct an initial assessment. It will be carried out in a private room and will begin with a discussion about your health. An examination of your movements and identification of affected tissues will follow. Your first appointment will include treatment.
What should I wear?
Loose-fitting clothing is recommended. For back and lower limb problems, shorts are required. As part of the assessment and treatment of your condition, your physiotherapist may ask you to partially undress. If necessary, towels and robes are provided.
Is a doctor's referral required?
It is not necessary to see your GP before physiotherapy unless your insurance company requires it. In some cases, we may ask you to visit your GP or contact them directly.
How qualified are the practitioners?
All of our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
